Characteristics:
This is a 18mm wide translucent grip tape. We will cut the tape to the appropriate length for your purchased hoop, adding an extra 2 centimeters for final adjustments. The tape will be sent separately so you can apply it to the hoop yourself. The reason we don’t apply it beforehand is that folding the hoop for shipping reduces the contact surface, causing the tape to peel off. To ensure optimal adhesion, it’s best for you to apply it once the hoop is fully unfolded.
Important: If you’re ordering multiple hoops and only want tape applied to one, please let us know which hoop via email at hello@flowhooopsbcn.com or by reaching out via chat (WhatsApp).
You can also buy this item for your hoop at home, in this case we will add 3m of tape.
Steps to Apply the Tape:
Note: Unlike other grip tapes, this one is firm and not overly flexible, making it easy to handle and apply. Stay relaxed and follow these steps:
- Unfold the Hoop Completely – Ensure the hoop is fully extended and locked into its circular shape.
- Clean the Surface – Wipe the inner surface of the hoop with a dry cloth to remove any dust, dirt, or moisture.
- Position the Hoop Properly – Place the hoop vertically in front of you, ensuring it is stable. Adjust it to a comfortable height so you can easily reach the inner surface without straining.
- Start at the Locking Section – Peel off a small portion of the backing and apply the tape at the locking part of the hoop. Use a cutter to trim it precisely to the edge of the tubing.
- Apply the Tape Evenly – Slowly press the tape along the inner circumference, following a straight line while gradually peeling off the backing. Let the tape fall naturally without stretching it.
- Press Firmly – Use your fingers or a soft tool to apply even pressure along the tape to ensure strong adhesion.
- Adjust the Ending – Use a cutter to trim any excess tape for a clean finish.
- Gently heat the grip tape as you apply it so it molds better. To do this, use a hairdryer on low power, heating only the tape, not the hoop.
- Let It Set – Allow the tape to adhere properly before using the hoop, ideally for a few hours.
Following these steps will ensure the best adhesion and durability of the tape on your hoop.
